Claire Mancivalano – St Thomas has been my home for over 40 years and through good seasons and even hurricane seasons I can still attest to he fact that life in the Virgin Islands is a pleasure and a joy. The amazing diversity of people, culturally, economically and philosophically, that comprise our community gives it an enticingly rich and tantalizing flavor. Like a fabulous meal, the seasonings enrich the experience.
Having that mind set, it is understandably a real pleasure for me to introduce others to the various aspects of island living and to share their fun in finding the perfect home or business that meets their needs. I have for the last thirty years helped numerous people join our community and would welcome the opportunity to assist you also. It is my strong belief that finding the right home is pivotal for personal happiness and contentment because it is our ‘nest’, our place to rejuvenate, to regroup, to nurture and care for one another.
Over the years I have had the good fortune to experience and benefit from a number of the varied pleasures the island offers. I own my own home where I have enjoyed growing a variety fabulous tropical fruits like mangos, passion fruit, coconuts and soursop ,been snorkeling and diving many times and sailed the magnificent crystal clear waters among the beautiful nearby islands, spent hours on world class beaches and even tried my hand at tennis.
Along with working and singing with a group of talented musicians by far the most cherished and wonderful group I joined was a group of ‘macko jumbis’. These are the legendary stilt walkers that are one of the most colorful and exciting characters in the Caribbean. Being part of that group gave me an even deeper understanding and love of this culture and I will treasure it always.
With more than 40 years as a realtor, Clair knows every square inch of this island and can help you find the perfect home. You can reach her at the office 340.774.1620 or on her mobile phone 340.690.3546
Let me introduce myself, I am Jody Olson, a true Virgin Islander having been born and raised on St. Thomas, attending school at Sts. Peter and Paul on St. Thomas.
My passion for travel led me to enter the yachting industry, where I traveled the world while working on mega yachts. After hurricanes Irma and Maria made landfall in the Virgin Islands, I decided to resign from her job and devote all of my energy to rebuilding my island home and helping those who were unable to help themselves. I have worked with numerous organizations to raise money and help distribute over 1 million pounds of relief supplies. I also worked to get multiple relief flights off island to receive medical treatment in the states after the hospital was shut down. Throughout this process I realized how special these islands are and that this is where I was meant to be.
I learned a lot about construction through helping rebuild the islands and started a property management company in which I specialized in high end clients and renovations. My passion is for making people’s homes beautiful and the real estate industry in general.
When not helping others or building my business you can find me outside, in the ocean, or traveling. Whether hiking, spearfishing, catching lobster or enjoying a beautiful day Jody loves these islands and does her best to try and make the most of them.
Jody can’t wait to help you find your place in paradise, the US VIRGIN ISLANDS, as your Realtor! Jody became licensed as a sales agent in February 2023 and is with the boutique firm of Calypso Realty, P.C. located in Havensight, St. Thomas near the cruiseport and just minutes from Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the USVI. You can reach Jody at the office 340.774.1620 or on her mobile phone 340.626.9924
Sharon’s husband, Fred, was the Athletic Director at Antilles School until he retired at the end of 2019. Antilles is a prestigious private day school for 500+ students starting with a program for 2 year olds through the 12th grade. Antilles is considered the most prestigious school on St. Thomas and offers students a most challenging academic environment (and the best instructors!) in the Caribbean and perhaps even better than many stateside schools. Contact Antilles School, located in Frenchman’s Bay, directly at 340-776-1600 for enrollment information and a brochure or better yet click on their website. Tell them “Coach” sent you since that’s the way everyone knows Fred! And wave when you see him driving around in his red suv with the license plate “Coach”! www.antilles.vi
